It claimed that the Telcos are not doing enough to stop phishing as they are granting Telemarketers assess to database before proper checking and verifying the telemarketer. Now the court has sought responses from the Telcos and TRAI ( Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ) in the matter. *Phishing is a form of internet fraud, where a person falsely pretend to be a representative of the organisation calls up a customer in order to extract personal and private data from the customers.
