T he Income Tax Department on Saturday said that the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns ITR for financial year 2019-2020 has been extended from July 31 to November 30, 2020 . The Central Board of Direct Taxes CBDT decided extension of various time limits last week in view of the challenges faced by taxpayers in meeting the statutory and regulatory compliance requirements across sectors due to the Outbreak of Covid-19 . The date for making various investments for claiming deductions has also been extended to July 31, 2020.
