Indian Direct Selling Industry records USD 2.47 bn sales in 2019, reporting a growth of 12.1%, a report by the World Federation of Direct Selling Association (WFDSW) .

This has helped the Direct Selling Industry to improve its ranking to the 15th from the 19th, a year before.

Moreover, in terms of number of Direct Sellers, India has been ranked at 6th position, providing employment to 57.50 lakhs people.

However, the global Direct Selling Industry has reported an overall decline of 4.3% in sales in 2019.

According to the report, US is leading in the list contributing 20% of the global direct selling industry, followed by China, Korea and Germany.

Vistara announces Leave Without Pay for Senior Employees in May, June

Vistara Airlines As a measure to preserve jobs and conserve cash flow, Vistara airline on Tuesday decided to send its senior employees on leave without pay for the month of May and June. It will affect around 1,200 employees in senior grade. Earlier the airline has sent its employees on compulsory leave without pay for 3 days between April 15 and April 30. The exercise was carried out at 3 levels : The first grade was to take three days leave without pay. The second grade was to take two days leave with no pay.
